Welcome to the new Bored Horse

Hey look, there's a new site here. I wanted to play around with some web tech, and it ended up being this site. The idea isn't a new one, I've been meaning to get a new place to publish things up for quite some time now. The need has grown, and it makes sense that my weekly newsletter – The Bored Horse – had a proper place to live.

I don't put everything in that newsletter, I try to keep it to the point. Sometimes there are other things I'd like to highlight or mention, this would be the natural place for it.

I can honestly say that I've missed blogging, if that's a word we're still using. Publishing online, that's the one. While I love newsletters, it's an altogether different thing.

For those of you who've been with me from the start with Bored Horse, you might recall that I launched the site on January 1st, 2022. It was an experiment then, too. I'd been playing around with Astro and wanted to build a site on it in the open. It was a fun project, and I updated the site regularly, alongside the link newsletter that I ran on the now defunct newsletter service Revue (thanks Elon...).

We're at a similar place now, with the essay newsletter, still titled The Bored Horse published weekly alongside this very site.

So, welcome to the new Bored Horse. I hope you'll like it.
